I was one of several designers and animators that got to work on FX's limited series, Pistol. The campaign is 70's punk inspired and our Art Directors wanted it to feel representative of the time period but also make it modern enough for a wider audience.
Paid Media (Static)
Software: Photoshop
I designed a custom skin to promote this show. The idea was to use images and quotes from the show as headlines in newspapers. I designed and composited all the elements of the skin to make these newspapers as realistic and punk as possible.
Paid Media (Motion)
Software: Photoshop | After Effects
I designed and animated this motion poster. The inspiration came from one of the trailers used to promote this show. The idea was that each poster would tear away to reveal the next poster and the last poster would reveal the key art for the show. Since this poster was being posted without sound it was really important that the movement wasn't stagnant at any point. It had to toe the line between being fast enough to keep you engaged but long enough for you to take in what the posters were saying.
Social posts (Static)
Software: Photoshop
I designed various social posts, stories and reel covers for the client's Instagram account. With each of these designs I wanted to stay within the punk aesthetic we set but also innvoate more with composition, coloring and layouts.
Video Edits
Software: Premiere | After Effects
After the show was released the client wanted to post short clips from each episode highlighting fun moments to get people to watch. I edited and also added caption graphics. These captions were to be simple but also slightly stylized in the way they showed up. I got to play around with how certain words were emphasized in the clip, a contrast to the punk style in the other pieces.
